Dude omg turning off that HDR setting is such a lifesaver. I was about to run out and buy an actual camera because I thought that was just something iPhones did. Now my videos won’t be super overexposed anymore. You rock thank you so much

I just bought the iPhone 13 Pro after being on Android for the last 10 years and have been playing around with it, this video is very helpful to someone like me who is not familiar with the iPhone settings. One criticism though, you skipped over the "Prioritize Faster Shooting" setting which is on by default and yours is turned off, a short explanation of that would have been great but I can't complain with all the knowledge I gained from this. Great tips, and well presented, thanks!!

Thank you! Your video explained why ALL my videos on this new phone were OVEREXPOSED. Love how you get to the point fast, cover lots of really valuable info. Great job.

thank you for showing me how to shut off HDR! I always shut off the HDR when sending videos after I shoot, it was a pain

HDR can be “undone” through Final Cut Pro, but I found that it’s still not quite right so I’ve learnt my lesson. I switch it off.

So true about cinematic mode. It’s hit or miss with the bokah. BUT, I didn’t know that the quality is limited to 1080p. So I have a few videos with cinematic mode and now I know why the quality doesn’t seem as good as I expected.

Oh my goodness THANK YOU! I intuitively know a lot of these principles as they apply to my D-SLR, but for some reason, I never really consider just how versatile and adjustable our iPhones are, too! Great tips, great reminders. This was so helpful!

This helped me to check if my settings are still correct, thank you. Unfortunately a couple of functions are not available on the iPhone 11 Pro.

This is very helpful! I have been doing all filming/editing for my At Home Workout channel on my iPhone 8. Got the 13 last week, and there is a huge difference in picture quality. Thanks!

Extremely helpful and comprehensive video. Thanks! I noticed the mirroed front camera setting dosnt result in a video that’s mirrored/backwards. It’s only mirrored prior to shooting or during shooting. I really liked your Macro Control setting tip too.
