I am a ski instructor and last spring a dad asked me to take his 10-year-old autistic Son skiing.... it was rewarding. The dad told me skiing was the only thing his son liked, and that he couldn't do the team sports.

He was verbal. And he was a good skier. After a couple runs I called his dad and said " he's ready for a blue run, I want you to come over here and write up the quad chair with us. He did really well and his dad cried at the end of the lesson. Not only was his son of delight but I'll never forget that man and how much he loved his son and how grateful he was
