In this video, Billy is discussing the new tower troop in Clash Royale, the dagger duchess. The dagger duchess is a new tower troop that gives the towers more health, but the tower fires faster making it much more affective against swarms and less affecting against tanks. This is an issue overall because new tower troops in Clash ROyale are causing it to be much more rock paper scissors and will most likely leading to the failure of the game.

I think it would have been better if it wasnt level based and you just had the options. Maybe you still unlock them through chests or level up chests but have then match your king tower.

Clash royale cards balance were based of the princess tower so changing the princess tower breaks this balance

Personally: I hate tower troops. I agree with it feeling like rock, paper, scissors based, and it makes the matches feel inconsistent in a bad way

I think all tower troops should just match your king tower levels and just make the tower troops unlock at different arenas.

Personally I feel as though it’s less rock paper scissors because people usually pick towertroops that fill in weakness of a deck. Eg: a deck weak to beat down but with a lot of swarm/graveyard counters is likely to play cannoneer.

I think the tower troops are cool but should not have been afraid. It screws up so many interactions such as the spirits being designed to have enough health to make it to the princess tower but not enough to the bombardier or duchess tower.

I wish they would make all the new shit they add a separate game mode/ladder because I miss the old way clash used to play and feel

Maybe soon we can equip 2 different tower troops so it makes less matchup dependant. You can still take 2 of the same Tower Troop

I'm at 6K trophies and have been completely F2P and with level 15, evolutions, and tower troops, it couldn't be harder to compete as someone who has mostly level 11 and 12 cards as a tower level 13.

I think they have potential like with the canoe. It’s good against stronger troops, but swarms not so much, but I feel as if the dagger Duchess is good against both types, which is just not when new tower troop needs as it feels like it’s just overall better than princess and Cannonier in most situations

It would be better if you either didn't have to individually level them or they made it much easier for free to play to upgrade their towers to their king tower level, my king tower is level 14 but I can only get other towers to level 11, it's taking soo much just to try and level them up
