I don't think wizard tower is that bad. Bomb towers don't hit air, wizard tower does. Wizard tower actually helps damage down balloons and when paired with air sweepers, it's pretty good.

Changes to to make: have the multimortar be a single fire lava launcher that basically acts as it does in builder base. For wizard tower, it can have an upgrade where the tower has a lightning arc so it can hit troops that are a small distance away from each other

The scattershot does everything the mortar does but way better and walls I only upgrade cause I want my base to look color matched lol.

Mortar in clash of clans used to scare the hell out of everyone, it’s a living nightmare in boom beach, it obliterates you entire army in one blow if you don’t take care of it, your focus is not boom cannon, it’s either the grapplers or the level 20 mortars

Basically they need to let us gear up more cannons and mortars especially because the Eagle Artillery is now gone. And walls need to able to be combined to make “tall walls” that protect against flying troops.

I have a good idea how to rework mortar.
Make them shoot spells.
Zap shell: Stuns troops and hits air.
Flame/Poison shell: Leaves a damaging aoe where it lands.
Freeze shell: Freezes opponent troops at the cost of damage.
It would also have a bigger radius of damage where it hits.

The way they could buff walls is by making walls a gear up thing, like they could make it so you can gear up 25 walls. And that mean they they can block flight troops

It is pretty clear that they simply didn't understand the mechanics of their game well enough. If you have a wall, it is pretty obvious that it needs to be reliable in tanking damage and stopping enemy advancement. PvZ2 gives a wide range of wall plants, some of which are much more useful than others. The Tall Nut is one of the best wall plants in the game, because despite its high price, it is extremely reliable in stopping most kinds of zombies. However, cheaper alternatives that tank more damage or are more replaceable often tend to suffice because there are a number of options how you can deal with the range of zombies that don't get stopped by your wall plants. A similar range of options would be sensible in CoC, cheaper walls that only work on the basic ground troupes, expensive walls that protect against pretty much all troupes, this is the kind of balancing that could have meed them a healthy part of the game. Extreme damage sponges that only work on a limited range of enemies would work, if you could choose to use them in specific fights instead of having to prepare them proactively, but even then they simply wouldn't be healthy. Either they make the troops they block worthless when used, or they will not be worth their price even when they can be used. It puts the devs in the dilemma of making one of the two simply not worth their money pretty much all of the time

Mortars are the most useful defence in early TH's due to its ability to splash which counters spam strategies. Even in higher townhalls it can remove units that are clumped together, which is why its useful against the witches skeletons. Also, ITS A GROUND TARGETING DEFENCE.

Wizard towers are as useful as the mortars but with the upside of being able to target air units which were a heavy counter to minions which is generally unlocked after the wizard tower. So in general its just a mortar but it hits air for exchange of range.

Walls are a direct counter to the Archer Queen and is generally used for stalling.
