I live to ride and ride to live. Got my license during the speed wars and golden era. We were here for the best. I'm 42 but us older guys who've been riding all our adult lives(and most on dirt since little kids) are not afraid to do our own maintenance and tear into a bike with even carburetors. Remember we were here for the 1st R1, GSXR's, ZxR's and RR', most of us owned Busas or Blackbirds for our 2nd bikes. There were no little bikes besides a ninja 250. We started on 600's that have the same performance as the moderns minus the electronics. If we haven't transitioned over to cruisers we mostly all have liter bikes or V4's. A few of my buddies have H2's. I've got a S1KRR and I do have a Bandit but it's only because I got it for 1200$ and wanted a platform to build a 9 sec¼ drag race bike for the strip. I have 2 extra motors bored out already. With all brocks performance parts set up for turbo or nitrous. The modern biking world is so soft compared to what we had access to all these years. Who do you think has the money to buy the more expensive bikes right now, not these old p.o.s Your list sucks.

Im 47 now but in December of 2023 I bought my first street bike. Its the 2023 suzuki gsx8s and I absolutely love it. I wanted the yamaha mt07 but after 9 months of waiting for it I said to hell with it and chanced the suzuki. Best decision I ever made.

Good list of Japanese bikes. Owned the SV650 and it is fabulous but it does not provide an upright position and leg comfort. Moreover, seat is too hard. If you modify it, it can be a good bike for seniors.

If you can find one, get Honda CB1100 EX or RS - its a keeper for life. You will not regret it. I mod these bikes for hobby. Currently I’m working on 2016 Harley Roadster - turning it into a cafe racer with panniers for local road trips. My next project will be Thruxton.

I've had the 919 (Hornet) for about 13 years now and it's great. 62K miles and I still haven't opened the engine or changed the hoses. I know a refresh is up soon, but they just keep on going.

I have a kawasaki h2 -74, Suzuki rgv250, Yamaha rd500r and a Buell xb12.. for the road. Granted, Buell is my daily. Naturally a 2t 250 Yamaha for some mx and a ktm 2t enduro for some offroad fun. And I recently turned 50. Been thinking about Yamaha MT-07, its a fun bike and maintaining would be a bit easier.

i'm 38 and ride Honda cb500 (like GS500 but better :)
I like Yamaha XJR1300, Suzuki GSX1400 and other classic japanese bikes
powerful top, but I think honda cb750 Seven Fifty \ Nighthawk from 90's was better option in this list than cb750 from 70's
