Understanding Option Chains / How to Read an Option Chain

In this video we learn how to read and understand an options chain in the ThinkorSwim trading platform. We discuss what each column means in the options chain and how to change the columns in the options chain to fit your desired trading style. We talk about the columns such as option open interest, option volume, option delta, probability ITM, etc.

Great info here, so if the trade is at the Mid how could you tell if it is a buy or sell transaction ? I here of people using the IV but can not find anything specific to this. Thanks any help would be appreciated.
