I just hope this isn't Tua's "AB" moment where this concussion changes who he is as a person. We all saw the change in AB's personality after Vontez Burfict sent him to the shadow realm.

I love how people say the NFL failed him. As if the league was ever successful to begin with in the realm of player safety. Think of how many players of yesteryear were chewed up and spit out Tua is just one instance in a very very long line of putting sport over health. And was in their best interest. Nobody wanted to see teddy and burrow and they knew that. It's just as much our fault as it is theirs. We say how much we love them and want the best. But let's be real. They're our entertainment and nothing more. And the fact that we've condoned and pushed this "win at all costs" just shows the utter hypocrisy in professional sports. Public and corporate. I'm not sad or disappointed. Only resigned to the fact this will continue. Only difference is social media makes it obvious when it's happening

You run the risk of getting hurt in football, yes we know this. However there is a difference between what happened with Tua and what could happen at random. Everybody runs the risk of getting hurt out there but let’s not be obtuse. Tua shouldn’t have been playing because if just 24 hours prior, the thought should have been

What if Tua gets another concussion?? That would be two in one week.

Reality check: Football give you CTE, concussions are a red herring, its ALL the hits

I wonder if helmet inside pads are being looked at for new technologies that can further dissipate and dampen the impact.

That would help reduce concussion and CTE. Doesn't take away the repeated nature of it. But at least the impact severity of each hit

The accountability and punishment that you have spoken about pertaining to owners of professional sports teams only can happen when you stand ten toes down and willing to sacrifice by coming together as a group. When you start doing that you will build your outside support team from the fans of the professional sports that will hold you up and support you in the same way that Roger goodell uses mass media as it's their conscious in and how they fit strategize and proceed.

what it can provide for you is not an excuse to make kids play football, you can earn the same in baseball and have a longer career without getting smashed in the head every week.

We have been known this players know this they love the game it’s simple. just like people smoke cigarettes everyday cause they love it yet knowing it’s not healthy for them it’s the same thing

Why have a unit and pay fees and don't get protected in which they are required to do under the labor laws. Why keep paying individuals that have been hired to fulfill their job description not received the benefits in which they are supposed to perform? I'm starting to think that players that pay play professional sports don't have no backbone or maybe these players are suffering from some medical issues that that has affected their behavior patterns

I vote we just go the other direction. No helmets. No CTE if you just die from hits

I feel there are so many red flags in what is being said. How did he get discharged so soon after the injury? He flew home?! Doesn’t that mess with pressure in the brain as is? He watched a movie on the way home on his phone? I have been told that you should avoid screens after a hit to the head. The overstimulation could make it worse. I know I’m no dr, but this is common sense. You learn this stuff in basic anatomy classes in high school. I’m very suspicious of all the positive reporting from those closest to the situation. Does anyone feel the need to see Tua on a live feed even for a couple minutes? If he is in such a positive place let’s hear from him, not just a post anyone can type up. I am such a huge Bama fan and I try and follow all the players that go on to the NFL. I have become so involved and invested so much time and thought to these guys and it’s not because of their amazing stats. It’s who they are as people and young guys who are living their dreams. I genuinely love these guys as a fan. I am so concerned for Tua and his well being and I feel the truth isn’t being told. As much as I want to believe the good in people I know there are some out there who are all about the dollar bills. Makes me sick. Maybe this is a huge miracle from God and Tua is as good as they are reporting. I don’t know. I’m just disturbed and worried for him. Sending all my love and prayers to the Tagovailoa family ❤

The NFL owners are committing violence against you and your blaming yourself for having a job that is built on physical contact but there are jobs that require physical contact but they are also safety rules and protections

They should make it a rule of unsportsmanlike conduct when you slam a player hard to the ground Period!

Shout it from the Rooftops! People need to be fired, lawsuits need to be filed & examples need to be made! That's what it takes to get one season's worth of attention!

NFL needs to vote the Dolphins Owner out period. If Sean Peyton and Brady were in Miami they wouldn’t be having any of this franchise issues. Owner should be voted out clean house give the coaching another opportunity under better ownership period. I would love to have Dwayne Johnson as a Miami Dolphin owner or Lebron James. Hawk has a right good point of view for McDaniel. His a good coach.

First of all I expect more from you since you have been the vice president of the players union. Yes we know that football is a violent sport in which you have chosen as your professional. At the same time it's sad to see someone of your caliber dance around this issue. But the bottom line is there is policy and rules in place that every employer has for their employees. NFL players pay of union fees for the purpose of having labor laws that protect employees when their employer violates labor contract. Let's just skip the BS and stand up for what is written in the policy versus falling for anything. For a person that's supposed to be educated and has held a position in the Union and not give the public information by providing what the rules say in the protocol when a player is injured. All this double talking by dancing around the real subject matter of the independent doctor and the team doctor doing their jobs as professional medical doctors that has taken the oath. Please correct me if I'm wrong the person that signs off on the player is the team doctor the independent doctor only consults with the team doctor in examining a player. This makes the team doctor the person who makes the final call on whether player doesn't go back in the game or needs further medical examination or test. If you're not going to be a credible person that has a platform please don't do other human beings a disservice

For you to speak about having a purpose in life. It seems to me you lack passion and empathy for others which includes yourself
