NASA has plans to send a crewed mission to the lunar surface in 2026. But difficulties and delays with the Artemis project put that mission at risk. Meanwhile, China is advancing its own crewed lunar landing program, and in the background private entrepreneurs are hatching their own schemes. I look forward to seeing Moon occupancy and at least a visit to Mars before my time is out. BUT, hurry, time is running out for me.

The next phase will be a permanent moon base : the base would have to be at least 3m, 10 ft, below the surface to protect against solar radiation. The question is not who will make a fleeting visit, but who will make a permanent base.

We go to the Moon because it's there. We will go to the Moon again because it's still there.

What kind of question is that? Didn't US walked on the moon in the 60s and 70s. Tell you what, our(US) interest is no longer the moon but the dark side of the sun. Hahahaha

With the lander now 4 years behind schedule, and likely to slip further as the contractor has spent all of the funds on vanity projects, in a word, "Yes."

Paul, long-time fan here. Bringing the political aspect of science is an imperative. Considering that, could you try to ponder over your discourse's place regarding it, as you being from the US does not necessarily make it all "neutral?" (Also, that kind of easy jab at Senegal was just unnecessary…)

Russias’ Boss is more into the 19th Century than Space Exploration
& Britain has spent enough money to achieve a moon landing but chose instead to half -construct a train track to Birmingham 😐

The U.S. successfully landed 6 manned missions on the moon. The race is now to establish a structural base and control strategic resources. Robots trump humans in this race

Hi Dr. Paul!! What would you say to the idea that dark matter/energy could be positively/negatively charged gravity?

Robotic miners. The first to return with viable treasure will own outer space. Where else are you going to get the treasure necessary? thanks

I believe that I have figured out how to send people to the Moon also I believe that I have figured out how to make it so that the Moon is a space tourist industry that people are capable of going to anytime they want
