Great review! I had the phone for two weeks now and no problems so far. Never had a problem with the double tap to wake, works every time. The swipe gestures at first was a problem with me but after a day or two of playing around with it I have it down pack now and I actually like it alot. First time buying a one plus product and now I understand why they have a hardcore fan base. This is a great phone for the price....

Great review mate. I have been using the OnePlus6 over three weeks now. I have the special Avengers Edition (8gb/256gb).
I haven't faced any such problems in the camera, it works perfectly fine.
The double tap is also very responsive in every corner of the screen.
The speed, the battery life, dash charge, low light photos, gestures etc are some of my favorites that I found in this beast.

My experience of using the oneplus6 for 29 days:
Out of the box there was an OS update enabling portrait mode and the feature to hide the notch
It ran smooth as butter for 15 days and one day suddenly it froze and was unwilling to reboot which I had to do manually.
Later I learned that it was the stability issue of OS promised to be solved by an update which came within three days.
The update came, some convenient features like battery percentage bar, front camera portrait mode, optimised call quality and battery life were added but the stability issue was not at all resolved. My phone froze two more times and I had to force-reboot for 2 more times
I was suggested that if same occur again, I may go back to the previous version of oxygen until the next update comes.
I decided against it and took the risk. The update came last week..Now after the third update, the phone is a beast🔥 no issues of freezing, no lags at all.
Truly, Oneplus6 is the speed you need❤️💕

After using it for 3 weeks now I feel I am satisfied with OnePlus 6. The only drawback I thought is the speaker. Not the best. Everything else is superb

Brilliant review.
I've had the phone for about a month as well and here are my views on the one plus 6:
The phone is fast, and by fast I mean really fast ! It hasn't lagged even a bit since I've been using it and they have stayed true to the motto "The speed you need". Coming to the battery life - It is also amazing, I can get through an entire day easily on a single charge: this has not changed after the update as well. The camera is amazing, I've seen reviews saying it's not the best and that the pixel is better, well, you do have to consider the pricing as well, you can see in this video also he mentions it, for the price it truly does offer a brilliant camera and overall it's well rounded.
The only issue I've had is the volume, which I still feel is towards the lower side. But I've not faced this issue with the call or notification volume.
And the phone does get regular updates and the updates haven't caused the phone to lag. I had the double tap issue when I first got the phone, but after the updates, I don't seem to have the issue anymore, probably a software bug ? (I just checked this right now).
So it is a great phone to get. If you are moving from the 5T, I don't think you'll see a very big difference in performance, but if you are new to one plus, I assure you it won't disappoint.

I got the 8/256 variant on opening day and I've been pretty pleased with the phone. Face unlock is creepy good even at odd angles. Like don't even glance at the lock screen fast. Haven't had the double-tap issue you documented. Seems to work fine all over the screen and doesn't require extra force. BUT... I have had an issue with the double-click the power button to open the camera. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. Of course, trying it just now it was flawless so hopefully that was a fix in the latest update. I skinned mine and the skin happily came with a tiny skin just for the camera. I was worried about scratching the lenses but the skin seems to give that area a bit more protection. Battery life: sheee-it! I'm getting about 3 days (lots of background apps and music, not so much screen time) between charges. Plus, it seems to like the fast charger (not Dash) that I've got in the car. Went from 23% - 45% in about 20 minutes (admittedly the best part of the charging curve) while I was running a nav app. Like this phone a lot.

i've had mine for three weeks now, super happy with it, but there is one problem that has been bothering me quite a lot. when i listen to music on spotify sometimes it just stops, and i have to close the app fully before i can get it running again, don't know if it is just my model, but i just wanted to throw it out there. great video none the less!

I also got a OP6, but I haven't got any issues, camera or double tap, I'm also sensitive to sound and light, and I love the very modular sound bar, actually decibel level at each step! 3th OP I got! Loving it! Great video! 👍

Had my phone since it was released in the US. Speed, battery life, storage and wifi calling (T-Mobile) is what drove me to buying this phone. My phone is working as good today as it was on the 1st day i used it. Only thing i found that is not necessarily a problem but i did notice as ASBYT noticed, is the face unlock is does tend to not unlock unless you look at it directly...doesnt always happen, but ive noticed it. Either way, I love this phone. It does everything i need in a smartphone and more.

Good to know these things. I'm thinking of purchasing the OnePlus 6 as I've got the OnePlus 3t and still a cracking phone with dash charging. Only thing was after the last update the rear camera is always out of focus as pointed out in many forums. Keep up the great job Asbyt

cool review. I'm using an One Plus 6 as well for almost a month now. one thing I am not very pleased is about the double tap feature. I'm also having trouble to wake my phone up using the double tap feature.

Great video.Regarding double tap I don't have a screen protector and I also have problems with it not being consistent.Just downloaded the Oxygen 5.1.8 update and problem still exists.Apart from that battery life is fantastic no problems there and it's a solid phone all round and I'm very pleased with it.

In case this helps, this phone is most definitely not waterproof. Unfortunately, I dropped my oneplus 6 in non-salty, shallow water (about 10 centimeters deep). It got completely submerged for a couple minutes before I pulled it out. It worked fine for about 30 minutes, then the screen started flickering for a while and it stopped working right after. Tried putting it in rice for one week, didn't help. so I shipped it for paid repair.

Omg I was number 666 like! I have the oneplus 3 had it for 2 Years now and it's still fast and snappy, love the dash charging it's the best out there in my opinion.
The oneplus 6 is a great phone for the price and specs.
You should get a bad boy jar, every time you say bad boy put £1 in it, then in December put the money towards a voucher for your subs, bad boy Xmas competition lol.
