What makes Point Nemo even more eerie is that, because the point is within the South Pacific gyre, the circular currents prevent more cooler rich nutrient waters from entering, as a result, there would be nothing to sustain any wildlife at all.. so basically, not only would the closest people to you be on the ISS, there'd also be no sharks, no fish, no plankton.. just you, alone out there, sourrounded by nothing but water as far as the eye can see
