Weaver bird building a nest.

Southern Africa has several species of weaver birds that literally weave the most intricate nests. The male does all the work. If a female gets interested but then refuses the nest he spends days building another one.

Not only they are clever in building their nests, they are also clever how to avoid their nature enemies, so talented!

Amazing how the bird knows how to construct the nest. And such hard work, the bird must be exausted afterwards. Great video ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻 Birds are Amazing 😍

I wonder if they ever think, “fuck, why’d I try that new knot Bill told me about. This shit is a mess!” When trying to take down last year’s nest

Why does this narrator sound like she’s about to call me sweet cheeks and asking me if I want more coffee

All my respect goes to these birds, srsly
They make these nests in 3 to 4 days with their beaks while us humans take about ten years

Humans spend years to become an engineer -- not to mention the amount of money invested on it - but here's these birds. Engineer and an architect by genes. 🤔🤔

Yah, male is hard worker, and female is only a checker. By birth every weaver bird is an engineer. Engineering is in its gene. It makes knots that is amazing.

Since the separation becomes obvious then ever there is no balance between male and female creations. Humanity should take their lesson from the nature because we are also part of nature. Loved this content.

I've never seen a bird build a hanging nest like this before. This is really cool! They weave them together similar to how we weave a basket.

"Finally, a completed nest. Now he just needs to find a mate." IDK WHY THIS MADE ME CRACK UP SO BAD. :'( All that work and we ain't even sure if he's going to find a mate. I feel so bad for him huhu.

There has to be a greater power that created all this. How in the world can such a species have this internal knowledge and know how built-in into each one of them to know how to to this without being taught.

Have anyone notice just how... Not so primitive they are ?
Building a nest = planning, the bird is capable to plan, and gather what it needs, for specific tasks.
But the knots tying.. that my friends, you have no argument to tell me that is not high brain function.
Problem solving... Is a high brain function. And tying knots.. for specific purposes.. my god
