1. Близко (=next to, near) is an adverb.
2. далеко (=far) is an adverb.
6. напротив (=opposite) is a preposition (and also an adverb).
7. около (=near, around) is a preposition.

I expected to see возле mentioned as a synonym of около.

I would have also liked each term to have the motion and location variants explained together. For example, you say за is a term for location, but what would the equivalent for motion be?

I think it helps to remember the difference between налево and слева if you think of them as "to the left" (motion) and "on the left" (location) respectively. But I believe both use от after, as you can still say something like "go to the left of that sign."
