1970 was a good year for music, in those days the radio was always on, if the TV wasn't on the radio was, only because the 60's including much of the 70's were the best two decades for popular music in the twentieth century and we knew it, we listened to the radio for the next big hit, as we knew it was just around the corner, and they always were, for my generation every song brought back the memory of where you were and who you were with the first time you heard it play, I'd love to go back and spend one day in our family home dancing and singing all day long to the radio while mum peeled the potato's for dinner and dad read his paper meanwhile all humming a long to the radio,

Some of my top favorite music! We Only Just Begun by The Carpenters had been my own wedding song at our outdoor wedding garden. We Only Just Begun was first slow dance that we had dance to together on first day that we had met through our married friends who were our romantic matchmakers. We have loving been together for almost 32 years of marriage now. ❤

I grew up with all these songs, can remember hearing Bridge Over Troubled Water on our family phonograph when it first came out, and have continued to be very moved by my upbringing with music!!
