NieR Reincarnation's book or whatever that released in Japan apparently has a handful of storylines that didn't make it into the game before EoS, so while it did reach it's story finale it perhaps didn't cover all of it's intended narrative

This is why I genuinely don't care about Missing Link. GPS mechanic is a huge turn off, add the fact SQEX seems incapable of handling mobile games (on top of the absurd monetization) and any sort of hype I could've had instantly disappears

For Nier Reincarnation the story had to come to a close with SE wanted to shut the game down. They released a book after the EoS with a bunch of other character story they didn't get a chance to put into the game

This is a topic I happen to follow extremely closely. The list of currently running mobile titles you had on screen is actually a bit incorrect. Dragon Quest Champions ended almost a year ago and you're missing quite a few titles that ended service globally, but are still running in Japan. This is the complete list as of right now:

Just to be clear, it’s Not just a “mobile” phone problem. It’s ALL their live services, mobile or console. Marvels Avengers, Babylons Fall, technically Chocobo GP (it shortly ended support tho at least got an offline version)

Be careful of ANY square Enix live service

It's why I will always recommend damo's fandub and will continue to do so until we actually get a definitive version of Union Cross as that is the best way to experience the story

I can only hope with SEs recent restructuring that they are reworking Missing Link into a real game.

There is the Union Cross Backcover on the 2.8 plus parts of the KH3 ReMind DLC. It seems like most of the canceled mobile games were developed and dropped between 2012-2019. So it does look like it is on the decline, with a few of the bigger ones hanging around
