2010 - 2020 Ford F-150 Front Brake Pad and Rotor Replacement

In this video I show you how to replace front brake pads and rotors on 2010 - 2020 Ford F-150 trucks. 2009 is slightly different and do not have the side specific brake pads, but the rest of the job would be similar. Just recently did pads and rotors on a 2010 F150. The new pads did not have the humps anymore as they interchange from inner and outer. The lug nuts were so tight, that we had to use a five foot cheater pipe on a 1/2 breaker bar. Air Impact wouldn’t even move them. I believe a shop overtightened them way beyond 150 ft lbs and that’s what warped the rotors.

I've watched several different videos on this exact procedure for the 2012 F150 XLT and so far I would say your video is one of the best I've seen.
I'm going to end up doing both front and back brakes so this is a massive help and confidence booster watching your video.

I wish you would've pointed out the bumps in the video. I completely thought you were talking about the nipples (bumps) on the back of the pad, not the top. I initially put them on backward because of this and had to redo and switch it.

Very well done. A couple small things.
1. Wear gloves
2. Lay down a piece of cardboard (the new break pad box works well enough) to make cleanup much easier.
3. Keep making videos and be sure to continue using the uptempo music.

When you open the caliper piston to fit the new pads you have to open the bleeder valve. If you don't your forcing/ pressurizing old dirty fluid into the caliper piston and back up the fluid line into the ABS module, not good. 👌

The caliper bracket torque seems a little high, did you mean to say 184 in and not 184 ft?
