Brent’s tiptoeing around explaining why they don’t recommend putting anything else other than salt and pepper on a steak was hilarious.

The chefs are super humble and respectful. They get it.

This is why nice steaks etc are so amazing when camping, cooking over fire is one of the best.

This has got to be my favourite episode ever. This restaurant is the one and only place I've ever seen in any cooking show ever that I've decided on planning a trip for. And I'm not even in the US.

“I encourage the lack of utensils” . . . food just tastes better when you use your hands.

Whats up with Ben's look.
He looks like during the day hes a middle school math teacher, but on the weekends he plays bass in a molly hatchet cover band.

"I'll take a pentagram steak." Why were the pentagrams never brought up, haha? Good episode.

Hospitality? What? Great to hear a restaurateur talk about that and share his appreciation for the way he was treated abroad. Hospitality is a lost art here in the PNW. I was in North Carolina last year and it was alive and well. Noticeably different and valued. Made the eating experience so much better. When I'm in DC I'm eating there... Thanks for the video.

I love America’s entrepreneurial spirit, places like this are the product of it and the creativity which comes is inspired.

Just in case anyone is watching this 2024 and beyond. I was visiting DC for a weekend with girlfriend, and I saw Maydan on the map and remembered watching this video years ago.

We got the tasting menu and split this steak for our entree. Incredible meal, everything was insane.

So this is the difference between inspiration and appreciation instead of appropriation. Looks amazing.

Ben got real quiet when Brent lowkey dissed the rub XD

Brent: 'Ben and I discussed this....'

Ben: *sweats profusely*
