A chilling video, on a subject many do not know about. For me, there's another atrocity...That. That right there: "Prince Asaka was granted immunity and did not face punishment. That's one of the thousand and one reasons that the idea of "nobility" must to be abolished. I have ancestors, myself, executed by monarchs simply for being of a different religion, or not countenancing their atrocities. And yes, I'm directly descended from nobility myself. No matter.

I don't believe in the concept. It's wrong. I'm an American.

In the US, this event is known as 'The Rape of Nanking' (or Nanjing). It was truly a horrific episode in a very dark time. Thank you for reminding us of what human beings are capable of doing to others.

I learned that this massacre was also one of the most heinous committed by the Axis and its members.
I have doubts as to whether it surpasses or is on the same level as one in Eastern Europe, Croatia!
I only know that any documentary about this place and what happened requires courage to face and see it.
And it seems that there is even more to it than documentaries!!
It's complicated!!!
The absurdity that humans can reach!
It is an atrocity that we must learn from in order to prevent it from happening again in every way and in an extremely resistant manner!!!

You did warn me on the last video.

Also, you used a word in the script that triggered a Topical Context note for me, which points to a Wikipedia page.

I encourage you to not use colorized photos for historical purposes. Could write 1000 words. Summary: Some young people now believe color photographs are “more real” than black and white photos, or BW photos aren’t real, or won’t even look at BW. Many examples on internet, terms like “brought to life”, “what they looked like in real life”. But the original BW photo is what they looked like in real life.
When people colorize an original BW, they are likely moving or deleting pixels where the boundaries of two tones meet. When we look at a historic BW photo that was colorized, we view a photograph with less fidelity than original.
Colorizing photos likely inserts false colors. The photo manipulator repaints the past. They have no choice but to add their own opinions into the tones chosen. Example, consider colorizing BW photo of uniformed soldiers. Is he going to assume he knows which color uniforms and insignia those soldiers wore, thus implying which side they were on, or maybe which branch they were in? When future observers look at the photo, will they realize the uniform colors were manipulated, or will they make false assumptions and draw false conclusions? By adding colors, he is now altering our understanding of the past.
Thank you for your consideration.
