59. Mandukya Upanishad | Chapter 4 Mantra 21-24 | Swami Sarvapriyananda

Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches one of the shortest and most profound upanishads accompanied with Gaudapada's Karika. This lecture covers Chapter 4 Karika 21-24.

Karika 21:
pūrvāparāparijñānam ajāteḥ paridīpakam |
jāyamānāddhi vai dharmāt kathaṃ pūrvaṃ na gṛhyate || 21 ||

Karika 22:
svato vā parato vā'pi na kiṃcidvastu jāyate |
sadasatsadasadvā'pi na kiṃcidvastu jāyate || 22 ||

Karika 23:
heturna jāyate'nādeḥ phalaṃ cāpi svabhāvataḥ |
ādirna vidyate yasya tasya hyādirna vidyate || 23 ||

Karika 24:
prajñapteḥ sanimittatvamanyathā dvayanāśataḥ |
saṃkleśasyopalabdheśca paratantrāstitā matā || 24 ||
