I live in KC and have for awhile and I’ve only been to one of these places, KC Taco company. It was pretty good.
But it makes me question what’s the criteria for getting on the show? Just chef connections? Idk there’s definitely more recommended places in KC to try

I miss the Pork Belly Tacos at Taco Republic across from the original Kansas City Joe's (formerly Oklahoma Joe's and one of Anthony Bourdain's 13 Places To Eat Before You Die). I'm partial to Joe's spicy slaw, burnt ends, and sauce. Several Chief's players order the Z-Man Sandwich there. Order in advance online to avoid the long line of tourists.

I drive by Danny Edward’s twice a day but don’t know anyone who’s ever eaten there and it always seems closed. Well turns out their hours are mon-sat 1030am-3pm so no wonder. I guess it only shoots for the retired crowd?
