Another way to "dumb it down" for beginners, is that you want to "straighten" the corner as much as you can. Outside, inside, outside.

Also, minimize coasting as much as possible. You should either be on the brakes or on the throttle. Some corners, you can't avoid coasting. But minimize it as much as possible. Any time spent not on the throttle is just lap time lost.
