They should call themselves Western Mongols. The Finns and Slavs understand Moscow's ways well.

Russia appropriated Ukrainian Religion & some culture, not the other around. Kyiv was where Orthodoxy entered the whole area, And Kyiv was a thriving city of culture while Moscovy was a small hunting settlement.
Putin has been no Peter the Great. Peter modernized Russia with Western European culture and broke religious hold over society in favor of secular life.
Putin is no Peter the Great !!
He derides what Peter stood for. Putin scorns European culture or Western European ties.

Not just name, but also the flag. Peter the Great did a "copy home work but shuffle it up a bit" to the Netherlands 🇳🇱

Also, imagine if not the Ottoman Turks but the Turkic state in Anatolia named Rûm, or "Rome", successfully conquered byzantine empire and later Rome itself and turkified the Latin peoples and more. That's basically what Ruzzia is to the Slavic people and has culturally mongolofied many people with steppe horde authoritarianism.

Russia is named for the KIEVan Rus, after red haired Vikings established a trade outpost in modern Kyiv. Therefore, the capital of Russia is Kyiv, not the swamp kingdom of Muscovy.

Dear Ukrs, tell me, where did Rus come from? Do you know about the calling of the Varangians? Prince Igor, son of Rurik, seized Kiev and founded Rus. No Ukraine existed at that time.
The first capital of Russia was Staraya Ladoga, the ruins of which are located in the Novgorod region.
Peter the First never founded Russia. Russia was always there. Russia is a Greek variant of the word Rus. The Russian kingdom was founded long before the formation of the empire.
Quantities of genes Mongoloid race are not more than at Ukrainians and Belarusians. On genetic researches, Russians are Slavs, and relatives of Scandinavians. To all, Russian language is a descendant of Old Russian and Praslavic languages.
The term Ukraina denoted the outskirts of the state. No one called himself a Ukrainian.
What evidence do you have that Catherine the Great rewrote history? That sounds like a conspiracy theory.

How exactly are Ivan III, the Terrible, and Peter, the Great connected? They have about 200 years of difference and history between them, as well as hailing from different dynasties, Ruriks and Romanovs, respectively.

That, and it was Ivan I, not Ivan III (who’s the so-called “Terrible”), who proclaimed himself Tsar of all Rus.

Ukraine, as a nation, did not exist until the modern era and the current period, because Kievan Rus included the territories of Duchies of Kiev, Moscow, Novgorod, Ryazan, as well as Belarus, Galicia, and the Croat and Ulich territories of present-day western and south-central Ukraine. At that time, the identity of a Ukrainian state, did not exist because Kiev was inseparable, both politically and culturally from the state of Kievan Rus. It wasn’t a formal name of the region, which later became a nation only during our current period and era.
