While I like OnePlus, I'm afraid I'll be getting the Pixel 6 Pro this year for one main reason, Tensor SOC. Google AI and Machine Learning (ML) is the BEST anywhere in the world, even beating out Apple. For them to be placing AI and ML on an SOC, it's going to be incredible for voice recognition, translation, Google Assistant, computational photography, computational video and a lot of other things. Will there be "faster" SOCs out there, yes. Will they be able to do what Google's Tensor SOC can do, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Speed isn't everything, especially when you're only talking fractions of a second. Plus, we don't even know what the true speed of the Tensor SOC will be yet. It's Pixel 6 Pro for me.

Can't wait too see what OnePlus has to offer this year or next. I've been a Oneplus guy since the 1 and am keeping a close eye on the Pixel 6 pro. Imo OnePlus or the 6pro are the only phones I will even consider at this point. Having a unlockable bootloader's and a development community are the BIG ONES for me. Some other phones have great Hardware but either their software is awful or they lock their phones up like Fort Knox (Samsung) either one is a deal-breaker for me but also having a decent development Community is a big part of it as well. It blows me away how whiny and nitpicky people are about phone companies these days when really the competition is pretty bleak if you ask me. When it comes to having a unlockable bootloader and a decent development Community its pretty slim these days. Sure there's tons of phones with fancy specs and bells and whistles but none of them have those specific boxes checked.
