Messy Space Buns Tutorial

Hello Babes! I've had quite a few requests to share my method for doing messy space buns, and I'm here today to show you how to achieve this hair style. It's INSANELY easy, the main trick is to have dirty/messy hair to add grip & texture, some invisibobble hair ties, have the hair tie on the hand holding the hair, and most importantly, don't overthink it! It you fuss and primp it too much it looses it's messy cool girl allure.

Damnit- I had lipstick on my teeth. Oh well lol.

It's funny to me that these are popular again; I love it. When I was in high school one of my favorite hairstyles were two high buns -- but wrapped very tightly and smoothly -- and I would wrap shiny cord around them before tying off into little bows. I was so self-conscious then that I never wore my hair like that to school, lest I be mocked, but I wore the hell out of that style on the weekends. Because my hair is so straight and so silky I had to use almost an entire package of bobby pins to get them to stay up, and spray the hell out of them [literally soaking wet] with hairspray if I wanted them to stay for more than an hour or so. I've eyed those InvisiBobbles, but I know there's no way they'd do anything other than immediately slide out of my hair.
