I had never heard of The Blue Castle and now it keeps popping up. Thanks for getting Laurie to read her poem.

Ok Lindy, I’m going to trust you about not needing to read the books before The Women Behind The Door. I will get to it eventually. Soooo glad you enjoyed The Blue Castle. 🙌🏻💙😊

So glad you enjoyed Hum. I must say I found it so believable. The commodification of nature and the intersection of motherhood and technology seemed soooo realistic. I thought there was so much in this short little book. Loved Laurie's reading.

I love the title of I Hate Parties. That alone makes me want to read it! I know I’ve read the first Paula Spencer book but it was so long ago. I do like Roddy I’m so glad that Blue Book of Nebo was a hit for you! The speculative books, Hum and Memory Piece are both books I’ve been wondering about so I’m glad to hear good reviews. I enjoyed Laurie’s poem; glad she shared it!

Hi Lindy, I got so much pleasure out of your video today. I loved Laurie‘s poem even though I don’t understand Canadian politics at all. This week I watched the Bob Dylan movie and I’ve been going down a rabbit hole with music and books. I’ll tell you more about that in a message. But you have so many books here that I’m interested in. I have to wake up and write them down before I forget them. I read a few Roddy Doyle‘s books that cracked me up so I think I want to visit his character Paula, who I never heard of. Blue castle also sounds something I want to read, but not now. I went down another rabbit hole because of the best of 2024 and I’m now in the 30s with Jean. Rhys in Paris and I’m wondering if you read her. It’s not a happy book, but it’s Paris and someone said in the book everyone goes back to Paris. I understand. Sending lots of aloha your way, dear friend.

I was recently introduced to Mary Oliver’s poetry and fell immediately in love with her writing. I must pick up Dog Songs for myself and a friend or two or three.

I'm amused to hear your comments about the translation of Little Shrew. It's a bit similar to how English is used in Malaysia - increasing number of people are speaking in American or faux-American accent but we still use mainly British terminology. The writing can be any 😂

Did Roddy Doyle take his characters to Clontarf? 😉
