How to play Acoustic Blues Guitar | Beginners Lesson (Part 1)

Aimed at beginners, this tutorial for acoustic blues guitar is Part 1 of the "How to play Acoustic Blues Guitar" series. This lesson and regular practice to learn these skills is the first step for you to become a creative blues guitar player. This tuition video will show you how to transform standard chord shapes into ones most suitable for blues guitar playing. The lesson difficulty will increase as the series progresses, only move on to the next part when you are ready. Start slowly and build up speed until you have a nice blues feel to your guitar playing. There is a link to Part 2 below. I only picked up a guitar for the first time a week ago and I was lost in the see of guitar lessons but non that really was the sound and heading I wanted to go in. I have started with the first cords most people start of with Em Asus and G, C and D. all still very challanging and not as rewarding as I hoped. First, I'm thrilled to have found your channel. There is so much material, it's overwhelming! But, your lessons are well done and easy to follow. I've been playing the classical guitar for nearly 4 years, and am sloppily transitioning to the acoustic (blues, primarily). With this video (and I'm sure the ones to follow), I can regimen my practice time with technique and then song playing. Your style of delivery is the best I've seen...better than even the "highly recommended" learn-to-play-blues guitar books w/CD. I realize this video is a couple of years old, but man is it valuable.
