From the final thoughts it sounds like they did a great job of getting the video game feel on the boardgame. This is a must have for me.

As someone who has played the video game quite a bit but hasn't managed to get this game off my shelf to play it yet due to Frosthaven, your descriptions of everything remind me of the video game so much and has me excited to dive in!

Their expressed enthusiasm for the game is a HUGE win for me! I’ve put in loads of hours on the video game, and to hear 3 dudes talkin about a game not having touched the console version, and yet excitedly discussing strategy, challenges and euphoria of working together obtain victory just shows that the designers nailed it! I’m more interested in the nostalgia aspect and this is a miss on my end if I don’t buy it 😂

The video game is a 10/10 for me. I've got hundreds of hours on it. This is a fantastic adaptation of the game into cardboard and plastic. I would also rate it about 8/10 as a board game. I agree the rulebook could use some work. That specifically I'd give about a 5 out of 10. I made some of my own player aids for new players and that helps a lot.

This game is extremely close to the video game. Hearing you guys talk about, it almost sounds like you're talking about the video game. Also, I will say that it's a lot easier to learn and remember the rules, if you're familiar with the video game. I enjoyed it a lot, but thought that some of my enjoyment might be coming from my love for the video game, so it's very cool to hear such a positive review from three people who are not familiar with the video game.

I just got my kick-starter copy. And the game just works it hits ALL the spots of a nice dice rolling mission based game. It does everything zombicide doesn't.

Some things are worded funny in the rules book but it didn't take away from the game. I can see this hitting the table frequently

3 Things, if I may:

1. The lack of reference sheet is because they know that a part of players will be people who have played the videogames....

And for us color make sens...

But yes, it's a fair critics for people, just wanting a boardgame.

2. The driller exit method is a legit strategy from the video game....

3. You guys (viewers and critics alike) don't hesitate to try out the videogames: it is very good IMHO....

I love that you guys keep going throughout the years. I dont tend to keep up with this channel as much as I did before life took over, but whenever I wanna check out a game, you guys are the first ppl I check. Keep it up.

I have Massive Darkness 2 and Zombicide and don’t care for them that much. DRG? I enjoy it more than both of those games and like it a lot. My favorite dungeon crawl. It’s a 9 for me.

Good review. Interestingly, the enjoyment you guys expressed having had through clever mechanics, tactically-rewarding choices, and richly thematic moments doesn't seem to match the seal of approval. It seems like the rulebook unnecessarily kept the game from getting a seal of excellence (which I do think it deserves).

I am curious what Tom would have thought of that one, since he loves lighter, fun, and thematic coops like this one. This seems like it would be a 9 for him.

Just a minor nitpick, but it would be nice to know that the game is cooperative at the beginning of the explanation, rather than the middle. That's a very crucial piece of information that I'm going to use to determine if the game is for me or not. Other than that, great job as always.
