Just for everyone wondering why the torque is so low: Toyota has never posted combined torque figures for their dual electric motor/full hybrid systems (they do for their single motor versions that use a real transmission, like the Sequoia and Crown Platinum). The torque figure is for the gasoline engine component ONLY. Apparently figuring it out is too complicated with the two electric motors up front and the added one in the back for AWD...but performance of the RAV4 hybrid and CX-50 hybrid shows that the real world torque are competitive with the Tucson and Sportage.

I own a CX-50, and I have never felt anything weird from the strip down the middle of the seat. It’s a great car, and don’t let that take away from your purchasing decision

I have 2024 cx50 turbo with 7k miles. My seats are broken in and i don't notice the leather strip in the middle anymore. The seats are very firm but supportive. To it for a 900mi road trip and my butt never got tired

I wish Mazda would stop with the black plastic cladding. It makes it look cheap and even cheaper once they start fading.

This is miles better than a rav4 hybrid. Takes the excellent powertrain of that and puts it into a vehicle that isn't a total shitbox with recycled happy meal toys for an interior and roof rails that have leaked since 2019 with no fix in sight.

Bought a used 2023 Mazda CX-50. Have done multiple long distance trips. Never once I have I felt like I have a strip of leather up my butt. Maybe because they are new seats that they are testing and my seats are used? Idk just thought I'd let people know that it may not be as big of a deal as they make it to be.

My wife sat in a non hybrid cx50 at the dealership and said it was weird. We ended up buying a low mileage 2021 cx5 and she loves it. She used to have the cx3 she enjoyed aswell.

Here’s some pricing information from Mazda Canada:

- Hybrid is +C$ 3k
- Hybrid is higher interest rate which will account for another +C$ 1.5k
- Dealer wants to charge +C$ 4k

So, is it really worth it to get the “Hybrid” version for “+C$ 8.5k” ?

Love the cx50 it definitely needed a hybrid version. I hate the rav4 but love the hybrid drivetrain .

this seems like the better option to buy versus the rav4 hybrid, when USED, as youd get the reliable toyota hybrid powertrain, but for the steeper mazda depreciation discount
