I love how they had Lusamine not be a villain in the anime because they thought it would scare kids, yet they aren't afraid to have some of the characters' facial expressions be pretty scary.

In the game reboot, Lusamine's character is slightly reform: she still wants to hurt Nebby, but she's doing it for a noble cause: Defeating Necromza. Its also why she doesn't get invited into Rainbow Rocket.

From the few clips of the anime I have seen

Gladion is a nice friendly guy. Seems to makes friends.

In the game he is an edge lord who really has big family issues and just wants things to be better.
