I would just be paranoid about the ceiling fan drying the glue more quickly and them falling on it! If we see a shower of grey on one of your videos, we'll know what it was :D
Also, we have a Samsung washing machine that's not too dissimilar, with the huge volume control, I mean program selector! Penalty point for needing assistance to set it up :D

I've been using 'Alien Tape' 2 sided tape on eBay. Pretty good stuff.

These shallow acoustic treatments absorb only high frequencies. And make the sound unbalanced. Good acoustic treatment takes a LOT of place.
