Motorola Moto X demo

So even though you can say "Ok, Google Now" and have the phone perform a few tasks, don't you still have to touch the screen to confirm? For instance, in setting reminders and alarms, don't you still have to touch the 'Set Reminder' or 'Set Alarm' for either to actually be made?

good point i think moto changed a couple of fonts and colors here and there on the droids though. pretty much the only optimizations on the x are the added features and camera tweak.

Yea im sure there will be plenty custom roms for it when its out. Esp since its based on near stock android.

You don't have to touch it. That part works how google now works on all other (4.1+) andriod phones. When you do set alarm it apears on the screen and it gives u a few seconds to cancel it...if u don't touch it to cancel it, it opens the alarm app and sets the alarm. The reason you see him touch it in the video is he hits cancel right before it opens the alarm app.

If it sells for that price I won't be surprised. Note the following...it's mass produced in the USA, it has an insane array of color options, and your unit comes to you in 4 days. These factors result in very high production costs. It's a good idea though. I hope it does well.

Why would you get this when you can get the Google Nexus 4 for $300 with no contract? They're essentially identical phones except the rear finishes (Nexus 4 is glass)

They are kind of 2 different devices. The moto x runs smoother because it doesn't have the heavy touchwiz the note 2 has. But the biggest and most obvious difference is the size. The moto x is a very compact device with a 4.7" display. The note 2 is much larger and has a 5.5" display. I have used the note 2, IMO unless you plan on rooting i wouldn't get it. Touchwiz makes it sluggish. I would get the moto x .
