I have been studying this for 20 years, since I first studied evolutionary biology and realised our dietary advice doesn't make any sense whatsoever. And I came to the conclusion that the problem is the fact that our "heath" authorities are now far more concerned with political and economic agendas, than they are with actual health.

I finally listened to my doctor who told me low carb would be great for me to try bc I have PCOS; im amazed. My energy levels are so stable, I've never been so un-hungry, and my period has a better flow but I have less PMS symptoms. Im hooked.

Really excellent documentary! I live in Ireland 🇮🇪. I went Keto and intermittent fasting and WOW! I eat butter, red meat (not much as I just prefer eggs and cheese!) lots of cream, a lot of Rocket ((arugula), walnuts, pistachios and supplements. It’s amazing how I finally feel human after years of feeling hangry and generally meh 🫤, so now HAPPY CENTRAL! I wish everyone knew this!! ☘️🍀🇮🇪😎👏👏👏💪

Fat doesn't make you fat. I may eat 10 carbs even if that. Never even over 20. Fat does not make you fat.

All I know is that at 70 years old, I effortlessly lost 70 pounds on the keto diet in the last 6 months and have never felt better in my life. My psoriasis has magically disappeared and my energy level is consistently high throughout the day. I just joined a gym and have been going every day, lifting weights like I'm 40 years old again. My only regret is that I didn't find keto sooner.I finally stopped going downhill and I'm enjoying life to the fullest.

I don't listen to information that doesn't make sense to me at all. At the beginning of 2023, I was taking high blood pressure medication and suffering from pain related to Osteoarthritis and Degenerative disc disease and I discovered that I was diagnosed with non alcoholic fatty liver in 2021 that no one told me about. So on January 13th, I completed changed my diet to only include whole foods, I stopped using ketchup, mayonnaise and salad dressing, I limited my daily carbohydrate intake, I started drinking only water and I stopped using processed oils or butter and replaced them with cold pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil and grass fed butter. Within 2 months, I was able to stop taking my blood pressure medication and the majority of my pain was gone. I was able to start walking my dog on a daily basis, starting out slow at first at a mile and now we are up to 3.3-4.3 miles depending on the route we take.

I don't think it matters whether you eat meat or not, or whether you eat low or high fat. Eat REAL food, not processed, a lot less sugar, and don't overeat.

Started to get into an argument with someone on Facebook that said, 'Don't do keto, it's dangerous'. When she told ME to do my research instead of relying on anecdotal information, I realized this was not a battle that was even remotely worth fighting. Just do what you do, folks. Never mind the misinformed haters.

The longest lived, healthiest people in the world in the Blue Zones eat a variety of diets but most aren't highly keto-based. What they have in common is avoiding all processed, chemically laden foods and high amounts of sugars and eating freshly sourced foods. This doesn't need to be a keto vs. vegan argument. Why not eat a balanced diet including appropriate amounts of all healthy foods sources? This battle of diets just promotes division.

1:10:00 Good one on the "eggs cause diabetes" story. My boss eats eggs almost every morning. He had diabetes - in fact he's almost to the stage where I expect him to start complaining about some "mysterious ulcer" etc. He's pretty far along. But the eggs are not the reason. The reason is he also eats pancakes, waffles, at lunch eats potato chips, bread, buns, potatoes, drinks beer and wine, his favorite meal is hamburgers and french fries, yes, that's a plural on the burgers. I've tried to tell him numerous times that his way of eating and then having to check his blood sugar and inject insulin all the time is living with "one foot on the brake and one foot on the gas" but it just doesn't sink in. But yeah, blame the eggs...

Hello.

I wanna share my experience as a vegan and most of my time, I did miss the nutrients in meat and meat itself is what our body relies on as fuel for the fire. Instead of veg, the keto diet gave me more energy instead of the vegan diet.

I reversed my type 2 though diet.. Low carb. Meats eggs salads berries yogurt avacodo's cucumbers, bell peppers. I found if I didn't eat carbs, my blood sugar didn't spike. I quit taking my meds (insulin). I got my A1C .. 4.9.!!
