After watching this, I can declare our democracy is gone, our country is fucked.

Assembling peacefully is looking less and less like "taking action". Since the forming of our nation there has been a slow but steady trend towards granting the minority that has all of money, greater political power and access to the creation of public policy.  Even money itself is leveraged against us. When I think of taking action, I imagine some people in mass running on the banks, turning that money into non-perishable food staples and tanking the dollar overnight. Adopting an emergency bartering market mentality and having nothing but contempt for FICA  scores and other arbitrary nonsense. I imagine a people refusing to be kept safe from the big bad terrorists by giving up some of their liberty...in fact, action to me would be a complete refusal to pay taxes until zero dollars of private sector money is passed around Washington D.C. No tax revenue until all foreign conflicts we are involved in are ceased. I'm not suggesting that taxes and responsible governing through public funding are bad, but what does a parent do when their child lies about what they're up to and wastes resources? They cut them off. Paranoid about what government can do to a person and their corporation? I'd be more concerned about what corporations can do to us when they are running the government.

Citizens United makes it irrelevant for the working poor to donate,  (McCutcheon ruling) 2.5 million from 1 donor.

The problem is we're not taught to think for ourselves. It's embarrassing that videos from represent.us that have the potential to change how a country is run has 10 000 views when a music video has 40+ million views. Ifthe people who live in the U.S don't like the way things are happening, they need to rise up and something about it or nothing will change.

Thank you for what you're doing to preserve our democracy.  And citizens should be expected to have a greater than 60-second attention span if they want to learn anything.  There's plenty of little sound-bytes out there.

You don't know your stuff about campaign finance laws. The hypothetical pertaining to the multiple PACs all for a single candidate you just described would be earmarking and would be illegal.

video is too long. If you want to make your point try to cut it down to 60 seconds. There is a lot of redundant information in your video so it should be easy

Aren't campaign contributions public?  Would allowing them to spend unfettered not provide the people with transparency to the process, thus better informing the voting public?

We're never going to "buy congress back."

The symbiotic relationship between market and democracy needs to be realized, and the people need to start playing the game from all sides.

If we buy products from and fund say, the Koch brothers, then we are voting against our own interest.  Why bother making a campaign contribution one way, and then give your money to someone who's going to lobby the other way?

There is a list of things the people can do so start to swing power back in their direction without worrying about how much a middle class American can contribute to a campaign compared to a major corporation.  The only way we will out spend them, is if we stop funding their spending.

Trying to band aid campaign finance problems is attacking symptoms.  The real route of the problem is the controlled two party system that drastically limits our so called choice in elections, and the fact that "advertising" is the basis for most of the vote casting.  If we voted based on information, and not advertising, all the lobbying in the world wouldn't make a lick of difference.

We need people to turn off the TV.

I'm sorry but this video felt at least 10 times longer than it needed to be. Also, I think it would be much, much, more effective to use only visual aids and not this guy's face. And the whole choking on spit thing - WTF were you thinking?!
