It's always been that way. You had to move on from the 3DS to play the Switch ones, and now you gotta move on from the Switch to play Switch 2 Pokemon.

Gen 4 & 5 were on the DS, Gen 6 & 7 were kn the 3DS, Gen 8 & 9 are on the Switch. It makes sense for them to move to the new system for Gen 10.

Switch was released in 2017, if I remember correctly, w MSRP of $299.99; means if you got Switch 1 on release, it comes out to like $38/year and you had access to two main series and a Legends game. Gen 10 releasing as Switch 2 exclusive seems fair to me (economically speaking).

I think that's to be expected at some point they didn't make more for the game boy and the current ones aren't for the ds but the switch so I already assumed they would make it this way for the "improved console switch 2"

honestly don’t mind this as much beucase by the time gen 10 is out your gonna be able to get it cheaper or they might even make a switch 2 light even if they don’t it’s gonna be a lot easier to find the switch 2 cheaper by the time it comes oht
