Let's try this viral flawless foundation makeup hack that everyone has been raving about. There are so many makeup hacks and this was one of them: how to get the most flawless base for a full face of makeup. Instead of using a primer and then foundation for your base, you begin with a setting powder first and then the rest of your base products. I think this hack works better without using the setting spray just use a dusting of powder first then go in with your foundation and other products. Wayne Goss showed this makeup hack awhile ago and many use it with just the powder dusting, maybe try it without the setting spray and see how it works.

I have combination to dry skin and this hack worked for me. My makeup had more coverage, my skin had a nice glow without being too shiny or cakey, my fine lines were blurred and my makeup lasted better than usual throughout the day. I used the sheglam transluscent powder, All Nighter setting spray by UD, VDL Lumilayer primer and YSL All Hours foundation. Maybe it depends on the product used.

I've tried this multiple ways, powder, spray and primer all together, just one of the products to prep the skin, and personally setting spray and then primer does a better job. I feel like powder always enhances texture

I find too many steps makes for a cluttered and unnatural unflattering look. I do find that if once you find the right primer that works for you than your half way there…then just find the perfect foundation for your type of skin (decide whether you want to wear a translucent powder on top of your foundation) and that’s it! Women have been wearing this way for over 100 years successfully!! 🤷🏼‍♀️why spend so much time, money and unnecessary steps! You’re gonna be beautiful with less 🥰

I’m dry, so I think this would be a texture disaster for me. Thanks for trying it so I know not too! I wear very little foundation because of texture as it is now, so this is not for me.

I put on my moisturizer than setting spray than I let it dry. After it is dry I continue with my foundation. That seems to work for me.

I skip the powder. I do moisturizer and primer then set it with a setting spray and let it dry. Then go on with foundation. I lean more oily so I use a setting spray with powder in it, like the Mac Fix Plus Matte one.

Hallo, I received similar results as you. Looked awful after applying. Throughout the day I got dry flaky patches. I used Laura Mercier powder too. I tried it several times using different setting mist. No go for me. Love your detailed reviews. Thank you
