Hi Chelsea, noticed that someone mentioned being in Maine the Pine Tree State as is where I live. Hadn't thought about hand sanitizer which does have alcohol. I have found that the only thing that has work for me be it fresh or hardened sap is 91° isopropyl. Not the 70° which does not work well. It is a cheap and effective method to completely remove the stuff. You are correct@ - get to it as soon as possible. If left to long it can still be removed but def has the potential to etch into the clearcoat. Be sure to use a soft cloth and rub very gently! Let the alcohol do the work! Good video as the sap is running..

I lived in Maine(the pine tree state) In the 90’s. And I found that rainX removed tree sap. Ty.

I’ve used it to remove 3 years old baked-on tree sap. Thanks for the quick tip for those who were not aware that isopropyl alcohol works very well at removing tree sap.

Was expecting a cotton ball. I use denatured alcohol on adhesives. Seems a touch better than lacquer thinner.

I use Citrol 266 for this. One must flush the surface after.

I have this issue from a blossom tree. The petals again the paint. Hoping this works but the petals have all gone now, for this year at least.
