Critical Mass & Truth: The 100th Monkey Theory

Let's talk about monkeys, sweet potatoes, and critical mass! Does that sound strange to you? Since many of our teachings are rooted in science, we wanted to go nerdy and share a phenomenon that we think can explain much of the critical mass movements happening today.

The hundredth monkey effect explains how new behavior or an idea is said to spread rapidly by unexplained means from one group to all related groups once a critical number of members of one group exhibit the new behavior or acknowledge the new idea.

We are witnessing this play out in recent world events, but where we would like for you to be exceptionally aware of it is in raising truth consciousness globally. Our goal is a build a critical mass of truth warriors that fight for those who can't fight for themselves. How are you helping humanity move towards the critical mass of truth?

when I first heard the story I was under the impression that it was for radiation from dust after the two bomb drops (1945) not for taste. that the researchers were training the monkeys to rinse off the dust, because it came to their attention that the monkey population was dropping off rapidly and this was the suspected cause. by the time they were ready to teach the next island, some of the monkeys there were already doing it. It was explained to me that this was why it was so important, because there was no reason they would know to do it, as they spend most of their time around fresh water and hot springs. thus not contaminating fresh water and because sea water is very efficient in neutralizing and dispersing radiation. this is one reason it is preferable to construct nuclear power plants on coastal areas. idk where I heard it, but it was at least 15 years ago. hmm

So because the monkeys on one island started washing their sweet potatoes, and the phenomena was then observed on a separate island, that automatically concludes that there is now a universal consciousness (of which has yet to be demonstrated; only hypothesized)?!?! It sounds like it would be a cool idea but you can't possibly or honestly assert such an absurdly esoteric answer to a phenomena that could potentially have several different solutions.

First off, you have to show, scientifically, that it is possible for our cells to comprehend independent of a neural network. And THEN you have to demonstrate that those same cells can communicate over vast distances before you could ever assert that this is a possible answer to the phenomena.

Secondly, from an evolutionary standpoint, is it not possible for isolated populations of monkeys to share similar cognitive abilities (relatively) of experimentation, remembrance, and problem solving to happen to come to a similar solution?

Lastly, if this theory was correct, wouldn't we see these same phenomena showing up all over the world? Wouldn't all isolated animals thus share the same faculties with other isolated animals of the same species? If the theory is correct then why do we see that there are physical and social differences among isolated species?

What about even our own experiences? Have you ever personally learned to do something unique that you could have NEVER possibly figured out on your own, because a person on a remote island figured it out? If so, do you have any tangible evidence that allows us to rule out every other reasonable solution?

As neat as this "theory" sounds, there is no actual evidence to support the claim that there is a universal consciousness let alone that we can manipulate it in any way.

There is a significant 1 mil+ dollar prize as well as the Nobel Prize in Biology to the person who can actually show that this is possible. So instead of putting your crazy theories on YouTube, how about you take them to the leaders of the scientific community. Seeing as your so sure that you've got the right
answer.

Try this:

If you're really convinced that this "theory" is real, try to learn something that isn't necessarily universal (like coding in Python, or non-Euclidean geometry for example) and then WITHOUT any physical contact or communication of your ideas or intentions, "connect" with your neighbor's "universal consciousness" and relay the information, that you have just learned, to him or her.

The most fascinating thing is after both islands of monkeys began washing their sweet potatoes in the water to make them taste better and that number of monkeys exceeded 200, every monkey on the planet expected humans to give them sweet potatoes as well.

Years ago I had a dog that started to put her foot in her almost empty bowl to hold it still while she cleaned the bowl. That dog had pups and her pups learnt it etc etc and it goes on down the line.. Now almost 9 years later the final pup now almost 3 year old, no pups. Holds her bowl each time she eats. Is it passed down through following the others? Well I raised a litter by hand no mom interaction. The same line the same pups all now adults do the same holding the bowl. Yet I've been in this breed all my life and this only started to happen 9 years ago. A learned behavior does it go through the consciousness or through watching others?
