Basically candle wax is just a hydrocarbon which can be derived from petroleum or other wax. Its combustion reaction is, CnH2n+ O2 +N2 CO2 + H2O + N2.
The boling point of H2O(i.e water) which is 100 °c at atmospheric pressure. And the room temp is nearly equal to 30°c. Therefore steam which is present inside the bottle gets converted into liquid water. When vapour becomes liquid then automatically it comes down because of gravity. Therefore mass of H2O which was present inside the bottle gets reduce. Therefore the pressure inside the bottle gets reduce. I saw in comment box, lot of people answering that because of reduction of oxygen O2 the pressure inside the bottle is reduced, which is absolutely wrong. Due to reduction in pressure inside the bottle, the outside water enters into the bottle.

I remember my grandfather used to show me this trick when I was a kid. He loved me the most in this world. I miss him so much!

I learned science from this experiment that nothing can burn without oxygen. Amazing experiment🥰😍🤩😘

I did this in 2003
When I was 8 years old
Its an amazing childhood memories

As we know that 20% of air has oxygen, when the candle is covered, it uses that 20% of oxygen to lighten. But after that it requires oxygen so it tries to get it from the water(H2O). She Used ujala just to identify water level in the bottle easily

This Experiment shows that,
Burning🔥 is not possible in absence of Oxygen 😍😍😇

This happened because the candle took all the oxygen required for burning from the bottle and as a result the pressure inside the bottle decreased thus the water entered inside the bottle.

It's because the fire is seeking to burn every bit of oxygen present inside causing pressure and as chain reaction water is sucked into the bottle until all the oxygen runs out.

Ager apne thali main water and ujala nahi bhi dala hota and candal ke upar plastic ki boutal dhak dete to bhi candal buj hi jata kyu ki hum kisi bhi chij ko candal ke upar dhakte hai to uski jo jyot hoti hai usko opsijan nahi milta our vo buj jati hai🧐🧐

Ohh shit I don't have Ujala, I can't do this 😂😂😂😂

the candle needs oxygen to burn itself since all the oxygen was consumed by the candle that's why the candle stopped burning

hmko to ye 8th cls se pta h or yh sirf pani se bhi hota h💙🤟🏻... Bottle ke jgh kanch ka glass bhi rakh sakte hai !!

Ha candle main jab tak oxygen tha tab tak candle jala aur jab bottle ko candle ki upar deya tab oxygen bahar nikal gaye or carbon dioxide th a is liye candle bujh gaya
Am I right?🥰

You can also use simply water bro....everyone know fire need oxygen or air for continuous combustion...
