I moved into an RV years before Corona. Disabled and unable to work, it was my only option. My RV is clean in and out, always registered and insured, and fully operational. I barely drink and don't do any drugs, not even weed. We're not all junkies. I also never park near these places around other RVs. It makes you guilty by association.

Look how our local government works when the right people are contacted from different departments. Coordinating and implementation, got things moving in EAST GARDENA!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Great investigative journalism and a 3 years of persistent effort on the part of the business owners...

Don't keep voting for people who don't give a damn about your local community.

0:04 ~ "People without homes living in hundreds of RVs in horrible conditions..."
No. ..
It's " People without homes living in hundreds of RVs create horrible conditions..."

My neighbor who was addicted to drugs was raging 24/7 yelling, slamming, breaking, punching property. He even crashed his car. It went on for 5 months until the Sheriff's department came to evict him. Unless people like him go through drug rehab what good is housing?

:50 “Having to pay rent to live in waste…” This is not the first news story where the RV dwellers said they were paying some kind of rent to stay in these RVs. A REAL news story would be finding who is amassing these non-running RVs and “renting” them out!

Question is if they're given a home, are most of these people mentally fit and disciplined to keep up their home spaces livable conditions or will it just look trashed like that street again 🤔 or will the drug use addiction going to stop or will the new home creat a new drug using den...

How anyone has ANY compassion left after these last 3 years in California, I just don't understand. I reached the point of "tough-love" about 2 years ago...

did it ever occur to anyone that the more free stuff you give away the more people want it? The state has thrown billions of dollars at this problem and it continues to get worse. Work is not a bad thing.

They need to go to the Fashion district, Olympic, San Mateo, 7th etc. Also pick up all the trash that’s piled up in trash bins on random street corners!

Wow, sad to see Candace wound up on the streets like this...Knew her when she was growing up in South L.A., so much potential & vivacious energy...I hope she finds her way out, stays safe & gets the help she needs to do so, Amen.
🙏🏽😢

So many people are 1 paycheck away from being just like those people living on the streets in tents and RV's.

Man, Officer Suarez is one of the most understanding and compassionate cops I've ever heard speak about homeless people's plight, but also understands that people can't live the way they've been living on that street in E. Gardena. Like he said, however, some of them who moved their RVs are resistant to change, but I'm glad to see that many of them are looking forward to a better housing solution by working with the gov't.

Three decades of Landlord Greed in greater LA is a big part of the homeless equation.
Many who work full time $20 hourly jobs can't even afford a run down studio apt.

The massive undertaking of trying to tow and house all these people must have been overwhelming. With all sincerity good job LA
