The good stuff.
3 days ago we ate the first spinach we've grown this year

I like how you casually squeezed in an entire growing season’s worth of spinach growth into a few seconds. I’ve learned so much from you these last couple of years. Thank you for getting to the point and making such informative videos for us new gardeners. 🌱

I'm growing New Zealand spinach in my garden. It is heat tolerant, drought resistant, and it grows like mad. Forget about plucking off a few leaves, you will need to aggressively prune it back. I've already taken two large harvests from it, and it will keep on growing and producing until frost. Be prepared to take several harvests, or it will take over your garden bed.

Perfect timing! Starting my winter garden now here in NY Zone 6a Lake Ontario ✌️💓🌈🐢🌱🌻🐝

That's a good idea for Starting spinach, as it's so slow in the garden to get growing and needs a lot of moisture to start. I'll try that with spinach and Swiss Chard! I've got left over potting soil, and your method insures proper spacing. Many thanks! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

For the first time, I planted spinach early this spring. It was so exciting harvesting some of it today. I'm afraid I will get spoiled, though, since the grocery store's offerings never tastes quite so fresh!

I’m being lazy this year, & just chucked the seeds in the ground ( in rows) they are doing great! 😁👍 I don’t even like spinach……growing it for my husbands birds! 😂

Nice effect—that looping! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve never done a fall garden, but I’d like to try this year, and put some spinach in it. I can’t handle it raw anymore, but it would be nice to have a supply to freeze for soups throughout the winter!

A great dose of spinch each day is a pleasure as a green drink mixed with pure water. And as well as a positive, upbeat and energetic outlook as we are shown here, THAT is a winning combination! Thank you!

Love these videos, am a total beginner and hoping to be able to start growing veg but can't afford anything needed as yet.

Am watching vids like these for advice and instructions - thank you for all that you do and for all the wisdom you impart - just fantastic! Looking forward to if/when I'll be able to start🙏❤️🕊

Spinach, the plant that never dies. Popped down some seeds 4 years back, can't stop it from growing back year after year. My fault for letting it bolt that one time.

Mine bolted a couple weeks ago, but it was tasty while it lasted.

They are better grown in the fall than spring.
In the spring, zone 5b, they grow slowly in cool weather, then bolt quickly when it gets even mildly warm. I planted outside in early April, and 6-7 weeks later, they had bolted.

I have an infinite love for spinach, but I have given up on growing them. Every single time they just end up bolting no matter how much I change things, be it watering, temperatures, shade or pot size. After reading about it being quite common I understand why my gran who had been a farmer for decades only grew them once or twice.

And if you leave the few in, they make really great seed savers💧🌱🙌

I've grown it in the past in a full sun exposure garden plot and it bolts pretty quickly when it gets warm. I need ideas about how to grow year round and get a decent harvest. Right now in Seattle, it's 70s - 80s.

Tank you for your channel.
I grew spinach seeds directly in a long rectangle pot.
After they became about 3 cm each, they started turning yellow despite frequent irrigation.

What did I do wrong? 😢

I cannot for the life of me grow spinach. I call it my veg nemesis. 😂 It either bolts or fails young. I now grow chard in its place.
