This is the best Italian lesson I have found because you break the Italian word down slowly and others just say it really fast! Which is very frustrating! So grazie molto!

My husband is an Italian native speaker from the north and he uses "Salve" ALL the time when we are in Italy.

In English I only use "good night" if I'm going to bed or someone else is, so that word in Italian is easy for me. My question is: Who is using "good night" in English as a greeting?

Also, thanks so much for uploading these! I find your explanations very helpful.

Been speaking Italian since 2009. Lately I’ve been brushing up on my Italian to also improve it too. This was helpful!

I love Salve. This is the first time I've ever heard of the word. Ciao, Buongiorno and Salve to greet and A dopo, A presto, arrivederci and Buona Giornata to farewell/leave. Awesome.

Not only was this really helpful (because I admit that I’m a little over-reliant on Ciao)…but the music on the exit was hilarious! Grazie!!!
