Product List:

This video shows how to field treat cut ends of treated lumber. You also get to see what treated lumber looks like on the inside once its been cut.

As a home inspector we occasionally find treaded posts that have rotted out prematurely from being cut in the field on not properly field treated.

Once you understand that the treatment only penetrates the very outside of the wood you can appreciate how not treating cut portions leaves the exposed wood very vulnerable to wood rot.

Excellent information that many people fail to consider when building outdoors.
Thank you for uploading this video.

Thanks for the information. Just applied this to my replacement posts in my backyard. I highly recommend using latex (disposable) gloves and a mask when applying. Also, I would use a foam brush (single use) to apply this preservative (or at least use a brush that is only to be used for this application).

Good information about the idea of treating those cut ends and what to use. What kind of wood you use where and the exact grades will be helpful. There are many grades out there and as you know you need to use the correct one. Let us know what kinds of wood you are touching when you go through the video. Good work tho. Peace

What happens if you add it to the top of already pressure treated wood ?

SO WHY DID YOU PICK THAT PARTICULAR PRODUCT?

This brushed on treatment is marginal at best. The key word on pressure treated is pressure. And only an idiot puts the freehly cut end of a treated post in the ground.
