It's gonna be sad when Captain Rex loses most of his brothers when the Galactic Empire wipes out their Rebel cell before he, Commander Wolffe and Commando Gregor secluded themselves on a distant desert planet for a long time until Ezra Bridger and his friends show up.

the saddest part about the clones, not just rex, is the fact they were all meant to be tossed aside the second palpatine made the empire

One line that hit me when Rex says to Ahsoka "They're don't care. This ship is going down. And those Soldiers, my brothers are willing to die & take you & me along with them!", when Ahsoka remove his helmet sees a tears in his eyes that hits me & that made him a well-written tragic character

The Kaminoans struck gold when they created Rex. He is, as his name implies, a king among his his kind. Too bad they never realised it.

Rex's story really is tragic when you look deep into it. How many brothers did he lose? How much fighting was he in? How much of it actually mattered?

Rex really was dealt one of the heaviest hands in all of Star Wars. Everything he did, everything he fought for, everything he lost, and all for nothing.

Rex deserved so much better, and it's good that he joined the Rebellion and continued his streak of badassery against the Empire. A true soldier of the Republic, and a Clone we all love.

Rex is precisely WHY the inhibitor chip works for me. We watched him from start to finish with Anakin and Ashoka.

If only Captain Fordo got as much love from management than Rex did

Loyalty and Obidiance aren't the same, and Rex always is loyal, but lost his obidiance. Loyal to his friends, his brothers, and loyal to do the right thing. He never was a traitor. He was betrayed by the republic. That's why I love him

It’s crazy how nowadays, if someone were to make a story based on some clones, everyone would be excited, wondering which clones will be focused on

The Clones were very similar to the Jedi when it comes to their slavery to the Republic.

The only real difference is that the Jedi chose to be slaves to it. They believed in its ideals and ignored the warning signs that it was dead and had turned into something vile.

Ultimately, both were nothing but pawns in Palpatine's grand plan, cast out when he was finished with them.

The saddest part about all this is that despite so many Star Wars fans coming around to Rex & the clones, they still missed the entire point of the show. Instead of realizing the futility of war and the inhuman treatment of soldiers, many fans continue to glorify both. Hoping to emulate their new favorite characters, instead of learning from them.

All they had to do to fix this was give a few B1s a personality and story arc too, in order to make the "bad guys" more relatable as well. That's the only way to peace; through understanding, not conflict.

He fought for the Republic. For Democracy. He may not have truly understood those things, but he knew they were right. That people needed to get to decide what to do with their lives. And he, eventually, accepted that he only had two choices. To fight and die so others may relax and live... or to relax and live, while everyone around him suffers and dies.
Rex is a great example that, when in times of hardship... sometimes, it's easier to be dumb and witless. His less-awake brothers simply accepted reality, did their job, and endured without seeing upset. Many were grateful for the war, because otherwise they'd never have existed. But for people like Rex, who had their heads up out of the sand... they could SEE how bad it was. He grasped just how much poodoo was on his end of the stick, and he anguished over it. But in the end, he managed to help make a difference. And in the very end... he fought for the cause he truly believed in.
