how can i move the motor such that if i rotate some angle in degrees with potentiometer, the motor will rotate half of the angle moved by potentiometer in degrees

I was hoping for a little more information. I would like there to be a one-to-one relationship between the angle of the potentiometer and the servo. What change would I have to make for that? Also, does the value of the potentiometer matter? Could it be a 5K or a 20K? Finally will the code work on an Arduino Nano if I use the same I/O? Thanks.

This is great! I have it working as described but I want to have a very fine control of my servo over 90 degrees of travel. Can I just change the "val" statement to 90 from its previous value of 180? What about the 1023 value? What does that set? I need to have the servo move in very small increments with the potentiometer across 90 degrees of travel. I am using a 10K ohm pot.
