The cheek fat thing is crazy. As you age, your face naturally loses its plumpness and becomes sunken in. If you remove that now, you’ll be looking like Skeletor as a granny.

A whole industry is literally dependent on us feeling insecure about our appearance. Resist and stand strong!

Honestly, as a young teen, I used to think celebrities were the most confident people in the world and now I realize that they are the most insecure.

When the tv and the phone is off, natural beauty still reigns

There was a Twilight Zone episode called, "Number 12 Looks Just Like You", where everybody is required to undergo an operation at age 19 to become beautiful and conform to their society. There were only a few models to choose from. That was supposed to be science fiction, and a warning about conformity. Never thought I'd be seeing it in real life.

Do NOT change yourself Amala. You’re a stunning young woman just the way you are.

I was recommended veneers by my dentist after getting hit by a car while biking to class. I hated the whole process and hate that I have to replace them every 10 years. It is beyond me how anyone would go through this procedure willingly.

The absolute worst for me is the buccal fat removal. It ages people like crazy. Literally nobody looks better after doing that. Isn't the idea of plastic surgery to look youthful so what the hell?

I used to be struck by beauty before all this. Now everyone looks the same and slightly off. I’m never taken aback anymore. It’s all so boring and bizarre now.

About 9 years ago when I was about to turn 18, I was able to get a tooth implant (I was born missing a tooth) I remember my original dentist said I should get veneers to match the implant, but then when I seen a different dentist, he said he will not touch my healthy teeth to exchange them for veeners, he said it’s so unnecessary and prefers to only do them in the extreme cases and I’m glad I listened and kept my original teeth! And he made the implant match all my teeth VS matching all my teeth to one implant🙏

People often forget that growing old is a thing. No matter how good the surgery looks now, there will be extra complications once they get old that wouldn't be there if they just stayed natural

We all have insecurities but the problem here is social media exacerbating it. It’s never mattered more what we look like.

My wife is, in my eyes, the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She's never had any sort of comestic procedure apart from orthodontic treatment to correct an overbite (as did I), and she would never even consider it. She never wears make-up either. Sometimes she has moments of insecurity about some aspect of her appearance and regularly jokes about her "crazy hair" (very curly), but one of the things that makes her so attractive is the fact that she is very comfortable in her own skin, and she's embraced the way she looks without feeling the need to augment herself in any way. She doesn't look anything like the plastic people from the magazines and the movies and social media, and because of that some might think she's not 'conventionally beautiful'. Yet to me, her natural beauty outshines the glossiest Instagram model a thousand times over.

Erin Moriarty was literally perfection. So beautiful. People feel like they HAVE to do something. Natural is just so much more beautiful.

I wanted surgery on my chest for a long time. I was really insecure. Then i heard a sentence. I dont even know where i heard it. 'healthy flesh should not be cut in.' and thats when it landed for me. My body was and is healthy, i was given this body by my parents and thousands of years of bloodline runs in this body. It works for me, it leads me places, why would i treat it with voilence in return? My body is healthy. It will not be cut in unless its medically necessary.

The craziest thing is that these trends are all temporary and cyclical. Back in the day, full plump cheeks were considered more attractive, and now people are going for the gaunt skinny look with buccal fat removal. Big asses are popular now, but skinny bodies used to be the ideal. These people are doing permanent bodily damage for trends that won't last. It's sick.

Women who haven’t ruined their looks with artificial interventions will be considered the most desirable in a few years.

Ozempic being used by individuals that are obese and or have tried various ways to get the weight off is very different than those that are using it solely for aesthetics.
