A little insight from a male perspective: fake lashes do add to your attractiveness (assuming they're not absolutely massive), *BUT* take away _so_ much more of your individuality and natural beauty. Notice how I made a distinction between attractiveness and beauty? I don't really think they're the same thing, sure, there's a big overlap, but the Kardashians were always attractive without being beautiful, and your grandma is beautiful without being attractive. Ladies, prioritize beauty because it's timeless, and any guy worth getting will love you all the more for it!

I'm a 22 year old guy and I like the dewy no makeup clean girl look. The women look more feminine. For me I knew a girl when I was in high school who wore the caterpillar eyelashes and it made her look aggressive.

I don't dislike women wearing makeup, but one of the reasons I don't wear it is because you get used to seeing yourself as something different than your natural self, and if you stop wearing it, you tend to dislike how you naturally look, which is a self-made trap I don't want to participate in. I have some friends who greatly struggled with not wearing makeup and feeling straight-up ugly without it. This minimalist/natural enhancer makeup trend is one I can get behind!

My dad made sure to tell me from the time I was 6 that women, when doing their day-to-day makeup and whatnot, were *not* dressing up for men. They were dressing up for other women. He also calls makeup "war paint" pretty constantly, which has *definitely* rubbed off on me and my sisters.

I’m 29 and don’t wear makeup. Last year got married and didn’t wear makeup then either.
A lot of women throw judge my way. But I can always feel off a lot men they are always shocked by my face because it is natural and they like it!!

I’m honestly so glad she’s talking about this. I’m 16, and I’ve been struggling with cystic hormonal acne. I refuse to go on birth control for it, and I feel like there’s no other option. I’ve been hiding behind a bunch of makeup, and literally just a few days ago I decided it was time to stop. I’m only using tallow for my skincare, and I’m switching to completely natural makeup. I’m 100 percent embarrassed of my face, but at the same time so much better. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, and I’m going to stick it out. Thank you Brett, I definitely needed to hear this episode.

My mom was really strict on me wearing make-up as a kid, so as I progressed into my young adult years make-up was never incorporated into my daily routine. As a result I probably wear make-up 10 days a year ... at most. I'm in my 30's and I'm truly grateful that I can look in the mirror and not see an altered perception of my beauty, cause that's all I've ever known. Natural beaty and loving yourself makes for a great life.

I have very dark hair and super light eyelashes and eyebrows. I’ll use makeup to balance it out, but most days I wear makeup it’s because I love the look. I have one eyeshadow palette and use it for everything! The trick is to emphasize your natural shape and beauty💛

I do actually enjoy heavy makeup and what I mean by that, I like eyeshadow, bold lip and foundation. My husband thinks I look great both with makeup and without it but it really doesnt make sense to me to spend so much time applying makeup to look like you have no makeup. Just go without makeup which I often do. But when I already put an effort I actually want it to be visible.

I was today years old (37) when I found out people plucked their own eyelashes out and replaced them every few weeks as though they were getting their nails done. Boy am I not fashionable AND thankful for it.

I've never enjoyed how makeup feels on my skin and then I had the blessing of marrying a man who absolutely prefers the all-natural look. It's neat that it's coming into style.
