Bought the Hero 4 silver two weeks ago. Appreciate how your video explains the differences between the different models. Confirms I made the right choice for myself. The LCD screen, although not necessary, comes in handy occasionally, like shooting in narrow.

One small correction. The Hero 4 Silver allows for night shot exposures of up to 30 seconds. I assume it is the same for the Hero 4 Black.

This will be limited in time lapse mode by the interval time between shots. Maybe that's where you got the 10 second limit from.

Wow, you did a phenomenal video.  It was in depth, clear, and relevant and in focus.  This is the best review video I have ever seen.  I especially like how you drew conclusions and gave advice -- the entire reason for a review.  I was completely on the fence, but when you mentioned the computer requirements for editing/rendering 4K video, I soon realized the Black was not for me and that I should buy the Silver.  Thanks a ton.

Great review, but one important thing is that these are action cameras, which means that eventually they will fall to the ground or will be used under different circumstances compared to normal cameras. So maybe having the LCD screen on the silver edition might be a bit of a headache for some people like me (not careful at all) because once the screen breaks you can't replace it. that's my opinion though

The main selling point for me is the low light capabilities. Can't wait to try some night sky time-lapse vids. 
I scuba and snorkel quite a lot.  The battery backpack is a must. My Black3+ can go over 2hrs.
The LCD is a battery hog. Can't understand why anyone would want it.

Great work! You solved my doubts about the new Gopro4. I think I'll keep the 3+ or maybe would buy the 4silver. Hopefully the backpack is still compatible with the 4.

About the Silver having the screen and the Black not: professionals will prefer better internals and saved battery life by foregoing the screen and will use the LCD Touch backpac when needed and otherwise use the app. Consumers prefer convenience and a more "traditional" camera experience. I think it was smart of GoPro to do it this way.
