Heartland Season 17 Episode 2 Ending Explained | Recap. At the beginning of the episode, we witnessed Amy's visit to Fairfield Stables. Her purpose was to assist Edwin with his horse, Brady.

For those unfamiliar, Edwin is the father of Lyndy's best friend from rodeo school. We first met him in season 16, episode 13, when Lisa asked Amy to work with Platinum Bow.

Amy and Edwin's relationship had a rocky start due to a disagreement over what to do with Lisa's horse, especially since Edwin is also Lisa's new stable manager. Their awkward encounter continued when they were unexpectedly brought together for a playdate for Lyndy and Edwin's daughter, Rebecca.
