Don't Copy Warren Buffett's Investments

In this video, I explain why buying the same stocks Warren Buffett buys is a bad idea. First of all, it's impossible to time at what price Warren Buffett buys any investment. Copying what he has in Berkshire Hathaway is a recipe for disaster. Because Berkshire Hathaway has lagged the overall stock market, you're better off learning from him, but not copying his investment decisions.

My question is, long term, even if buying Buffet's stocks late and overpriced, is this: Isn't the company itself, the actual worth of the company, the "story", the quality of the company, almost surely a GOOD company that will slowly grow over time and not some random startup that will vanish in ten years? If I wanted security, likely growth, and not massive immediate returns, wouldn't his companies be a great pick in terms of quality??

Yup, it's for those with his kind of buying power.

And last: if you copy him and get rich, he will curse you!
