What are the differences between all the Pioneer New and Old AVH radios

My radio model is AVH-285BT and I would like to uptade my firmware because I am trying to resolve a Bluetooth error (error-10) but in the Pioneer webpage there is AVH-280BT and AVH-X285BT, which one can I use to update the firmware or there is another one that you may recommend me?

got a pioneer avhx2700bs a year and a half ago and now the screen is going in and out when cold.. many people on the internet have the same problems with the pioneer brand.. do you guys know if these new ones present the same problems?? kind of crazy considering the prices...

There is a difference between the old, previous 2800 model compared to the 290/291 models. One of the differences are that the 2800s came w/ (6) 4 volt preamp outputs compared to the 290/291s (4) 2 volt preamp outputs, has more color choices for the buttons and touchscreen on the 2800, the 2800 has a 13 band EQ like the rest of its older siblings unlike the 290/291 and you can download background pictures onto the screen of the 2800 unlike the 290/291. Pioneer butchered the 290/291.

Does anyone know an approximate volume that the pioneer avh-290bt distorts at? I'm running amps for everything, and would really like a ballpark idea. Was thinking I'd set my amps with the head unit on volume 30 (75%), but I'm worried about sending a distorted signal to them.

so... im sure pioneer was like "ok so its that time of year again where we come out with our new line of receivers.. what can we add this year to improve from last years?... anyone? .. anyone?... damn, seems like no one has any ideas... well, we cant just re-release the same identical units that would be weird.. we gotta do something different or else no one will upgrade.. ah ha! i got it! lets change the name!" and lo and behold it was done... i wonder how many suckers that have last years model will go out and get this years model thinking its new and improved.. oh whats that? you already opened and installed? sorry..no refunds.but..but its the exact same as my 4800.. i said SORRY NO REFUNDS.
