What I learned playing the demo for this was that the trash can is the most valuable building in the game. If you've got one you can play risky cards much more safely, because if they go bad you play out the rest of your had and discard the doom card from the risk building into the trash and end your turn. Which beats having to play it and having it do something bad to your town!

What those parks should say is you can't place buildigns DIRECTLY on top of them. You can absolutely overhang buildings over parks on higher levels, or even build platforms over the top of them because platforms are attached to a wall, not the park underneath. Platforms are also solid, so you can put water towers on them, so it's always a good idea to place them with future water needs in mind.

This is the second game you've shown that I ended up buying recently. I also bought shop-like and have enjoyed that quite a bit.

This has a stong Hayao Miyazaki-esque aesthetic to it, and I love it! I can imagine an adventure story about a kid from the grimy, fish-smelling lower levels who gazes longingly up at the da Vinci-style air-screw copters that are always bobbing around the Upper levels and a slightly spoiled rich kid who is constantly being scolded for leaning dangerously over the polished wood railings, trying to take in all the distant sounds of music and revelry and the colorful neon lights of the casinos as they flash and dance on the sides of the building and across the surface of the inky black waters far below. It would probably start with simple "Prince and the Pauper" overtones, but knowing Miyazaki, would completely transcend the contraints of that framework to become something wholly new and amazing.

Yeah, so it's a pretty cool game. :)

Looks pretty good. I think you should have used your platforms for the water tanks and planned around that. Presumably the brick roofs you unlocked also solve the water tank issue?
